The Wounded Marine Careers Foundation has assembled a unique team to guide its efforts. Experience and talent from the military, the government, foundations and all fields of filmmaking, video journalism, photography, writing, editing, sound, lighting, grip and safety have come together to serve on our Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, Faculty, Administration and Advisors. Board of Directors LCDR Cliff B. Carnes III, US Navy Reserve – Senior Vice President, Operations at Johnson Capital, the largest privately held real estate investment bank in the U.S. Prior to joining Johnson Capital, Cliff served as the senior watch officer for 2nd Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company in Iraq. Cliff had a follow-on assignment for eighteen months as the Director of Public Affairs for the First Marine Expeditionary Force/ Lt. Gen. Mattis at Camp Pendleton, California.
Kyle Hausmann-Stokes (US Army Ret.) - Served 5 years in the Army's Airborne Infantry and asa Squad Leader/Convoy Commander during yearlong combat tour in Iraq. For his meritoriousservice and actions under fire, SSG Hausmann-Stokes was awarded the Bronze Star. Everdedicated to "telling the soldier's story," Kyle completed film studies/received honors at ASU,UCLA, Universidad de Madrid, and in 2010, completed his degree at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Judith Paixao, Co-Founder, Wounded Marine Careers Foundation. A real estate developerfor twenty five years specializing in urban waterfront mixed-use communities, Paixao started asecond career in 2000 as a noted jewelry designer, working in Rio De Janeiro, Taxco (Mexico)and New York City. For Judith’s entire 35+ year career she has worked in marketing andmedia in some fashion, bringing talents as a producer, educator, developer and designer to anyproject at hand. With three Emmy awards, 13 Emmy nominations and multiple industry awards under his belt, Lombard has worked with media giants, in the healthcare industry, for the arts (Alexander Calder, the Louvre, Guggenheim, Hirschorn and several international Museums), for themilitary, as well as many in the fashion industry (Victoria’s Secret, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Chicos and others) and educational programming (Sesame Street, Reading Rainbow, TOEFL, OOBI).
